More than 1 million antidrug booklets distributed by Scientologists in Cortina Olympics
A large-scale drug awareness effort in Italy has exceeded one million informational booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on prevention through education, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
